How has the day been? Eh, Eh (add level hand twisting like a balance in front of face).I am still hyped about my weight. And I got to work today at 7am. And then we got build 19 of Mango out to QA. Then things started to fall apart.
My build process has a flaw in it. A pretty substantial one I might add. Lets just say that next time we're coming up on a code freeze, you are going to see me branching like crazy.
What is branching you say?
Basically it allows me to have a copy of code that is frozen in time, but that I can make modifications to while the main branch (see the link to the name?) of the code continues to be developed. There are some major problems with branching, most of them administrative. Also add to the pot the fact that the one build that we have decided was GOOD, is also a build that I forgot to label (labeling being a way for me to grab any version of the code I want to, at any point in time). So I made a minor branch today and hopefully I won't have to modify it later.
I have to say that this weekend, has just made my confidence level stand up and take a bow. There is just something about doing a scene and having getting the level of after care that I did was just "WOW". I also passed Swingman the Rose City Discussion Club card. I had it folded in two and handed it to him. His response was, "This IS discrete." The card has the clubs logo, phone number and web address on it. Oh, and a rose.
I also have finished Friday the 14th entry for the Vegas trip. That was a major accomplishment in my book. Now all I have left are Saturday and Sunday and I will have the trip updated.
I got out of work at 18:30, came home, Ron had cooked a HUGE steak and broccoli, it was wonderful. Now I think I'm going to hop on line, say hi to some people and go to sleep.
